Character bio: Salomon art by Yusuf Idris
Salomon's father was the youngest of two sons, Riwallon became a leader of men in his own right but was always in the shadow of of his brother Nominoe who became king. In AD 835 Nominoe and his brother took his warriors across the Breton March and raided as they had always done into Frankish lands. On the field of battle a lone warrior, dressed as a Celt managed to get close to the king and strike him.
Eager to seize power after seeing his brother fall on the battlefield Riwallon gathered a host of men and rode hard to the King's Estate where his nephew lived so he could remove that last obstacle. Salomon and his cousin Erispoe, the Kings son where playing in the courtyard when he arrived announcing the death of the King, but sorrow quickly turned into suspicion and as the injured King rode in behind him, Riwallon caught in a hole and with nowhere to run held a knife to his young nephew's throat.
Erispoe killed his uncle with his eating knife, a single strike to the throat and Salomon watched in horror as he saw his father die in front of him at his cousins hand.
Salomon grew up forever clouded by the talk around the camp fires of his traitorous father and became angry and cruel as an adult, full of resentment of his Uncle, his king and his son. He will do anything to gain power over them and succeed where his father had not. One day, he vows, he will be King and Erispoe will be dead.

Character bio: Edda the Norse Witch art by Duncan Meredyth
To the vampires of the Old world she is known as the Witch of the North and follower of the Old Ways. None can remember a time before her and most of the undead of Europe can trace their blood back to her, Edda, mother to them all.
Her exact origins are unknown but she first emerged on the Swedish island of Gotland and when asked will call of the Gutes of Gotland the people of her birth. Gutes had lived on this island near to the Scandinavian mainland since prehistory and the settlement of Ajvide was her home in the earliest years of her death.
To those vampires she spawned she was Gaia, their mother and font of all knowledge from the Oldest times. To the mortals around her she was a witch and Valkyrie who heralded the souls of the fallen warriors into Valhol. They said she skulked across the blood soaked battlefields drawing those souls worthy enough to serve Odin One Eye at the time of Ragnarok and with her came murders of crows and the smell of death.
To all she is feared, feared for her strength, her magical power and Sight as well as her close connection to Gods of the Underworld. But like all vampires she still craves more, more knowledge and more power, lest it fall into another's hands.
